Southgate
Southgate Located on
the south bank of the Yarra and is like a gateway to Southbank.
Many Cyclist's choose it to be the end of their Yarra bicycle ride
because the Cafes and Restaurants all along the river makes it a
great place for Brunch, Lunch or even Dinner. There are street performances to watch, and River Cruises departing from
the Southgate Berth. With the casino a little further down the
river and the Flinders Street Railway Station just across the river
would be the reason for Southgate having so much action and being so
busy. A place in Melbourne not to be missed |

Federation Square
At the cultural
'heart' of the city, on the intersection of Flinders Street and Swanston Street, Federation Square sits between Flinders Street Station, the historic Young and Jackson's Hotel and St Paul's Cathedral. The complex series of structures consists of a square framed by silver and glass shards, a series of
triangular composed complex facades, a giant cobbled sandstone plaza and massive complex glass atrium. A series of small laneways provide vistas framing previously hidden parts of the city.
Federation Square is the first major city project to break Melbourne's traditional rectangular grid pattern, joining the CBD to the Yarra river.
